We both got our hair done!

It was a big day for both Hunter and I. He badly needed a little bit of a trim because his hair was starting to grow over his ears and I desperately needed a recolor and a cut. We headed over to Ballard and my friend Rachelle made us both look good!

First Overnight Stay

This last Saturday, Jesse and I went to our friends wedding in Portland. Nate and Lesleigh had a beautiful wedding and we were so honored to of witnessed it!

But... we decided that we should stay the night in Portland and make it a little getaway. I dropped Hunter off at my parents house on Saturday morning and Jesse picked him up on Sunday late morning. He did great! My mom said that he was just the happiest little boy and took a 3 hour nap on Saturday and slept 11 hours straight through the night.

I am a 100% sure that the first overnight stay without his mama was much harder for me than it was for him. I was just fine, but at the wedding reception I started thinking that I would rather be with him after the reception then to go out in Portland. But.... I got over that pretty quick and ended up having a great time!

We've got teeth!

Hunter finally got his first teeth! My Dad called me at work last week and wanted to know if I already knew that Hunter had a bottom tooth. Sure enough, when I went to spend my lunch break with Hunter there was a tooth! Within a few days he had another tooth right beside it. I can't believe how fast Hunter is growing up.

Trip to the Emergency Room

This morning I woke up and started to get ready and about fell to the ground in pain. I had severe sharp pains in my lower abdomen. After about 30 minutes of this, we decided that I needed to go to the ER. 7 hours, an IV, ultrasound, and a CT scan later.... ruptured ovarian cysts.
This is what happened the morning of our wedding 2.5 years ago as well.

So, you would think it would be boring sitting in a hospital room for 7 hours, right? Not today! I had a shared room with a curtain in between. The woman next to us was crazy. She was having troubles breathing, had no insurance, made it well known that she just got out of jail, and to top it off.... kept telling the doctor that the only thing that would make her feel better was morphine. Oh boy! Let me tell you, that was an interesting couple hours!

First Cold

Hunter officially caught his first cold last Wednesday and it still recovering from it. He has had a very runny nose and a bad cough. Poor guy. So that means that I had to learn how to use the bulb syringe for the first time.... squeeze first, then insert into the nose. :)

It's also meant that he's been waking up several times during the night because he's been having trouble breathing through his nose. Can someone enlighten me on why babies have such a hard time learning to just breathe out of their mouths? Silly boy.

Last Weekend

Wow, I've been pretty bad about putting any time into my blog! Hunter and I had a great time last weekend and got to see lots of friends!

Last Friday, my friend, Jackie was in town visiting from Hawaii. It was so good to see her and go out to dinner with her, Nicole, Joe, and Meghan! We got to catch up and Hunter decided that everything was very funny. He laughed hysterically towards the end of dinner. Silly boy.

On Saturday my good friend, Shyla, came over for pizza. I made an artichoke pizza that some friends had made for me a little while ago. It was so yummy!

And on Sunday, Hunter had such a good time with his new buddy, Cole... and I had a great time with Cole's mama, Rachel. Cole is 3 days older than Hunter. It was so fun to see them interact!
